After minor stroke

Question: What do you do if after a 'minor' stroke, the victim continues to feel numbness on/off in affected area - leg in this case? And also speech slurring at times?

Answer: I do not have a good answer on treating the feeling of on/off again numbness in the leg. Sometimes the numbness will go away and for others, it will linger or never go away. One could try exercise/range of motion, but it may not have any effect. In my experience, speech slurring will be worst later in the day or when a person is tired so avoiding fatigue and getting rest may help with speech. I recommend consulting with a MD or pain management specialist regarding the numbness.
